Bobbin Tool Friction Stir Welding – An Overview cd.

Sobota, 14 marca

4. CONCLUSIONS

Commercially available research and production FSW machines give a possibility to use revolutionary solid state welding process that is progressing rapidly as a manufacturing and assembly process for building and assembly of aluminium structures. The high, repeatable quality of friction stir welded joints has been proved and is one of the biggest advantages of the method.

Further development of FSW tools including bobbin tool technology will increase the flexibility of the FSW process as well as meet new demands made by industry.
