Implementing a multiple-database xquery system cd.
Czwartek, 19 marca
5. CONCLUSION
While the goal of producing an effective cross query system has been achieved, the target goal of our research is to implement the cross query as a grid service. This requires more work and testing than implementing either of the web service architectures because we would be dealing with a different communication model. The change in communication occurs because we want individual grids performing the cross query on each other's web services versus the XML databases performing the cross query on each other. Thus, the web service model must be modified such that the requesting web service will send the query to a grid service that will then send that query to each of the appropriate XML databases within that grid.
